Bicycle routes

There are several interesting bicycle routes. Sarmacja offers the descriptions of routes and places where are can get only by bike. We highly recommend the route round Lake Ryńskie and Lake Tałty.
1. We leave Sarmacja heading for south across the forest. Forest track are hard, beaten down well and it makes them pleasant to ride on. Different levels make riding more variable.

2. The first stop is at the bay Mrówczyńska. On our way there we pass a disappearing village called Mrówki.

3. After 2 km the next bay - Skanał. You have to get across a small bridge or to wade. Behind the bridge there is a next small bay, a forest Lake Skawal surrounded with a high forest.

4. We reach a village of Skorupki. You can see Lake Tałty through the trees. Skorupki is a typical village of summer visitors. Neatly kept houses very close to the lake. Leaving the village we head for the west east and in a moment Lake Tałtowisko can be seen.

5. We cross the bridge over the canal Grunwaldzki connecting Tałty and Tałtowisko. The road becomes rather sandy but also wider.

6. We reach the village Tałty. We have the lake called the same on our right.

7. Next we head for Mikołajki. First we pass the railway station, then we cross the railway bridge, past the cemetery and down to the main bridge. The asphalt road changes into pavement here and this leads to a crossroads. We take Olsztyn direction. We pass the biggest hotel on Mazurian district on our right. At the bus stop we turn right.

8. A sign - post shows "Stare Sady". The road rises up several meters and we can see more of Lake Tałty. We pass holiday centres.

9. We reach Jora Mała next and a bridge in Jora Wielka. We can admire some beautiful views of Lake Ryńskie on our way.

10. The next stop is in a disappearing village Wejdyki. It's a good idea to step here since one can see Sarmacja on the other side of the lake.

11. Leaving Wejdyki we enter the forest again. This road takes us to the route Mrągowo - Ryn. One should be careful here as there are several bends and the traffic is usually big.

12. We are in Ryn. A sign - post shows the route to Mikołajki, and after two kilometers the next sign shows the road to Rybical - turn right. We take beautiful asphalt road full of birches on both sides and we reach the village. We turn right behind its last building with a small shop. Sarmacja is in front of us again.
